It’s shouldn’t be about all or nothing. We should be able to swim in the sea of ambiguity as we imagine mature adults would be able to and be able to take the circumstances as they are without the urge to make demands, but we are just but human, more so when we are wracked with intense emotions for someone.

When they are not capable of being more than friends with us and when we are not capable of being just friends with them, it’s either we get it all or nothing at all because being in between and trying to prolong the situation is just pure pain.

It’s easier said than done though so we find ourselves bring frozen in panic in a torturous situation where we find ourselves unable to walk away but staying is painful because every interaction becomes a stark reminder that not only are they ‘not that into us’ but they are not into us at all.
